Dancing on Ice bosses ‘working hard to fix melting ice rink’

‘Dancing on Ice’ crew members are working overtime to fix the show’s ice rink after it started melting ahead of the launch.
ITV are said to have forked out a large sum to mend insulation after the ice at the studio in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, began to melt in the run up to the programme’s kick-off on January 6.
A source told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "They already have three chillers powered on generators to keep the ice cold, but the studio seems to be too warm to keep everything frozen.
"They have been installing insulation so the temperature doesn’t rise any more. It’s very hard to get it right – a few degrees out and puddles can begin to appear."
The star-studded line-up includes The Only Way is Essex’s Gemma Collins and Love Island’s Wes Nelson as well as former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, Coronation Street’s Jane Danson, former ‘Strictly’ dancer James Jordan and Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton.
Brian recently admitted Gemma is being a "diva" on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
He said: "Gemma is the Mariah Carey of the UK. You talk about a diva … my word.
"She’s got her own world. The rest of us do our own thing and Gemma’s got her own world.
"She’s brilliant – I love her."
What’s more, he has placed a "big bet" with James about which of the two will exit the competition first.
He said: "James Jordan, one of my great mates, is there, too. It only makes a difference if I beat him, because we’ve got a big bet on about who is going to go out first.
"So as long as I beat him I don’t care. I’ll go out second as long as he goes out first."
Holly Willoughy and Phillip Schofield will be presenting the show, which will also feature ‘Grease’ star Didi Conn, pop star Saara Aalto, TV presenter Saira Khan, ‘and actors Richard Blackwood and Mark Little.
