Dancing On Ice bosses have coronavirus procedures in place

‘Dancing On Ice’ bosses have an emergency procedure to deal with the coronavirus threat.
The ITV figure skating show’s team has a plan in place to protect its cast and crew from the deadly virus, which attacks the respiratory system and causes pneumonia-like symptoms.
Asked if the show had any safeguarding in place given its large studio audiences, Associate Creative Director Dan Whiston told The Sun Online: "We’ve got an amazing medical team.
"We’ve got an amazing production team that are all over this kind of stuff.
"There is hand sanitiser everywhere and procedures have been put in place to protect the cast and crew, so I know they’re all over that."
Dan added that bosses didn’t want to worry the audiences, but it’s important they stay "one step in front" at all times.
He added: "Without panicking people, you’ve got to be one step in front, always.
"Things like hand sanitiser on the doorways, we encourage that anyway. You’ve got to step up and do the best you can in the environment we’re in."
This weekend, it’s crunch time for the remaining contestants as TV star Joe Swash, Paralympic sprinter Libby Clegg, Diversity dancer Perri Kiely and magician Ben Hanlin booked their place in the semi final.
‘Coronation Street’ actress Lisa George was eliminated on Sunday night (23.02.20) after the judges voted for her to leave alongside her professional skating partner Tom Naylor.
The pair lost out in the skate-off to Libby and her pro partner Mark Hanretty, but Lisa wasn’t downhearted.
When her fate was revealed, host Holly Willoughby said: "That little girl that fell all those years ago and never got back on the ice again, look what she has grown up to achieve."
To which Lisa replied: "I know. I’m made up I got this far, to be honest. I’ve had the best time and met the most amazing beautiful people; I couldn’t wish for anything more. Thank you Tom."
