Dan Edgar has admitted it’s "frustrating" that Lauren Pope’s friends have stopped them from seeing one another.
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star recently began dating his 32-year-old co-star after a short-lived romance with her friend Jess Wright, who has accused Lauren of breaking girl code.
Dan said: "It’s frustrating. It’s been hard for us and it’s not been nice for Lauren. I feel bad for her. I don’t mind if they’re like that towards me, but the last thing I want is for her to fall out with them.
"It’s annoying this has happened just because of Jess. There was nothing going on between us."
Dan added that he was "massively" surprised that Jess had a problem with him seeing Lauren, and wished she’d been "more honest" with him about how she felt before the situation went any further.
He told new! magazine: "(I was) massively (surprised). I think a lot of people were. She should have been more honest with me."
The ‘TOWIE’ hunk went on to insist he wouldn’t rule out a relationship with Lauren, despite neither of them wanting "anything too serious".
He said: "We’ll just see how it goes. I wouldn’t rule (a relationship) out, but I wouldn’t say I’m looking for anything too serious at the moment. I don’t think Lauren is either."
