Damian Lewis joins Our Kind Of Traitor

Damian Lewis has joined ‘Our Kind Of Traitor’.

The ‘Homeland’ star – known for his role as Nicholas Brody in the hit series – is the latest actor to be cast alongside Naomie Harris, Stellan Skarsgard and Ewen McGreggor for director Susanna White’s spy thriller, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, which is based on John le Caree’s novel of the same name, follows an English couple who are on holiday in the Caribbean island of Antigua, who become entangled in the dealings of a Russian mobster.

Lewis is on board to play a member of British Secret Service, who is forced to intervene.

Film4, Ink Factory and Potboiler Productions are behind the film, which is set to start shooting in London later this month.

Meanwhile, Lewis is set to play King Henry VIII in the upcoming BBC Masterpiece miniseries adaptation of ‘Wolf Hall’ opposite Mark Rylance.

The 43-year-old actor has also wrapped filming ‘Queen of the Desert’ in which he plays English war hero Lieutenant Colonel Charles Doughty-Wylie opposite A-Listers Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson and James Franco.
