Curtis Pritchard swears off dating apps

Curtis Pritchard won’t appear on dating apps anytime soon, despite his split from Maura Higgins.

The ‘Love Island’ stars ended their eight-month relationship after meeting on the ITV2 reality show, but the pro dancer has now vowed to focus on his career instead of chatting ladies up on apps.

The 24-year-old star told The Sun newspaper: "I’m very old-fashioned. I don’t actually like talking to people over a mobile phone or laptop. I’m a very sociable person. I like to be with somebody and talk to them."

What’s more, Curtis and his brother AJ have dreams of becoming the best presenting duo after hosting the BBC’s ‘The Big Night In’ in April, and now their "end game" goal is to land a prime-time Saturday night variety show.

AJ said: "Our aim is to get roles on big shiny floor TV shows and to become a household name as presenters.

"We want to definitely get our own shows commissioned and be like Ant and Dec."

After making his debut on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2013, AJ would love to present a variety show of the same nature.

The 25-year-old dancer said: "My first TV appearance was on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. Doing some presenting on a variety show like that would be an absolute dream for me."

Curtis added: "We would absolutely love to be presenters.

"’BGT’ is a prestigious and incredible show so hosting something like that would be a bit of a dream come true."

However, with Curtis and AJ both suffering from dyslexia – a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading – it can be hard for them to read the auto cues.

To help them get ahead, the pair work harder by learning their lines ahead of time with producers adapting to their needs.

AJ added: "Reading the full text and learning lines can be difficult with dyslexia.

"We do work that bit harder, but I think that TV producers see that and adapt to work with us."
