Cruz Beckham praised as ‘the real deal’ as he prepares debut album

Cruz Beckham has been hailed “the real deal” by The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard after they hit the studio.

The son of Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, 51, and retired soccer ace Sir David Beckham, 50, has been busy preparing his first full-length project and has spent some time in the studio with The Kooks.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, frontman Luke said: “He’s brilliant. He’s got all the right things.

“I think he’s a rockstar, I really do.

“It’s got a kind of White Album psychedelia sound, with warm tones.

“I think he’s a great guitar player – it’s kind of what I want to hear in my head.”

He further spilled about their time in a north London recording space: “We were actually in the studio with him.

“His album sounds so good, so authentic. It’s really refreshing.

“You know, he’s recording everything completely authentically and trying to pick up that magic to some parts. I think that’s amazing.”

He insisted: “He’s the real deal. He wants to do things properly and he wants to gather his fan base the right way and he wants to go out and just play. It’s been a mad few days for him.”

So far, Cruz has released a pair of singles, Optics and Lick The Toad, both with a psychedelia sound.

The 20-year-old musician will drop the new song For Your Love on February 13. Cruz is also embarking on a tour of the same name.

The music video is a family affair with Victoria’s father, Tony Adams, making a cameo, while it’s directed by his cousin, Libby Adams.

Cruz shared on Instagram: “Happppy for your love month

This is my grandad, Tony. When he was my age he was also in a band and our bond for music is so special to me. having him in the video and cover for this particular song is something I will never forget. Not only are the people I’m making art with my family, but also the most talented. My cousin @libbyyadams was the producer on this video, @jackie.apostel executive producing the project, my closest friends on creative and of course the lads, the breakers. There’s nothing better.

“for your love

“13th of Feb. (sic)”
