Courtney Stodden shocked she got marriage approval

Courtney Stodden thinks her mother was "bonkers" for allowing her to marry Doug Hutchinson when she was just 16 years old.
The 21-year-old reality star wed the ‘Green Mile’ actor, now 56, five years ago and she is astonished she was given permission to tie the knot so young, and admits they separated briefly in 2013 because of the problems caused by their age difference.
Courtney – who is eight weeks pregnant – said: "We separated for nine months in 2013. It was strictly the age difference.
"I got married at 16 and honestly, I look back now and realise how young I was.
"It’s mind-boggling to me that we were able to do it – that my mom would sign a bit of paper to let me marry a 50 year old.
"She knew he was a good guy but it’s still absolutely crazy – bonkers.
"So I felt like I didn’t have time to go out, party, meet other guys and have fun.
"He said, ‘I love you so much that I’m willing to let you go.’ It wasn’t easy, but we found our way back to each other. Hopefully it’s all out of my system now – I mean, I’m sitting here pregnant."
And though she doesn’t regret her relationship, Courtney admits she won’t be giving her own child permission to marry so young.
She added: "I couldn’t possibly let my 16 year old marry anyone.
"But I don’t like having regrets and Doug and I are still here five years later and very much in love."
While the couple are looking forward to having their baby, the blonde beauty is worried about giving birth.
She told heat magazine: "I want a natural birth but I am very small. I hope it’s not a monster baby. I’m scared.
"Doug was born with a huge head and I’m like, ‘I can’t push a giant head out of my tiny little body."
