Corrie’s Tina O’Brien teases Platt problems

Tina O’Brien says the Platt family will be "tested" by an "internal" problem this year.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress, who plays Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, says her fictional family are set for a busy 2019 which will see plenty of secrets being kept, which will, once again, take them to the brink.
Speaking about the fallout after Lewis Archer’s (Nigel Havers) death, she said: "Well life is never really quiet when you are a Platt is it? But from the moment Lewis died and Audrey moved onto the street things have started building up, there are going to be lots of secrets and it looks as though the family are going to be tested once more.
"But this time it isn’t someone from outside causing them problems it is all internal."
Sarah’s brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) has already been causing his own family issues after he stole his gran Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) £80,000 savings.
But his sister looks to have other things on her mind when she does the dirty on builder boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North), who has been struggling with financial issues, next week.
Sarah will get close to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), and Tina has hinted she and the lusty lawyer could have a future together.
She said: "Sarah does love Gary and they have been through a lot and managed to stick together but she probably deserves a quieter life and a lot less hassle than he gives her.
"People do seem to like them together and want them to try and work things out."
When asked if she could see Sarah and Adam together, she replied: "Yes I guess so, but he isn’t likely to give her an easy life either is he? It would be out of the frying pan and into the fire."
However, things are a lot more straightforward for Tina’s real love life after she married Adam Crofts on New Year’s Eve (31.12.18).
Speaking about her nuptials, she recently said: "I found the idea of everybody looking at me quite nerve-wracking. But I was just so happy to see Adam, Beau and Scarlett all dressed up. My heart was hammering. It felt so intense. I didn’t take it lightly committing to being with somebody for the rest of my life.
"It’s amazing to finally be husband and wife."
Adam added: "I just felt excited to finally be getting married. It had been a long time coming."
