Corrie’s Shayne Ward and Jack P. Shepherd up for Best Actor at Inside Soap Awards

Coronation Street stars Shayne Ward and Jack P. Shepherd have both been shortlisted for the Best Actor prize at the Inside Soap Awards 2018.
Shayne has been recognised for his heartbreaking suicide storyline which saw his character Aidan Connor take his own life after battling depression, whilst Jack has been put forward for his alter ego David Platt’s male rape plot.
As well as each other, the pair are also competing against EastEnders’ Danny Dyer (Mick Carter) and Hollyoaks’ Gregory Finnegan (James Nightingale) for the prize.
It has also been revealed that Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) and Ryan Hawley (Robert Sugden) have been shortlisted in the Best Partnership category at the ceremony.
The couple, affectionately dubbed ‘RobRon’ by fans, are up against ‘EastEnders’ husband and wife Danny (Mick Carter) and Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) and Jack (David Platt) and Julia Goulding (Shona Ramsey), as well as Hollyoaks’ Jacob Roberts and Adam Woodward (Damon Kinsella and Brody Hudson).
The Inside Soap Awards will take place next Monday (22.10.18) in London.
