Corrie’s Pat Phelan to shoot Michelle Connor?

Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan is to shoot Michelle Connor on her wedding day.
The crazed killer – who is played by Connor McIntyre – has already been responsible for four deaths in Weatherfield, and after surviving a near-fatal harbour wall fall he is to continue his murder spree by bumping off restaurant manager Michelle (Kym Marsh) – in scenes resembling a horror movie.
A source said: "The scenes were shot last week and are more like a horror film than a soap.
"Phelan will come back to Weatherfield and crash Michelle and Robert’s wedding day. In all the carnage, she will end up being shot with Robert trying desperately to save her life before she bleeds out.
"Inevitably, the other guests will be involved in the madness too in the aftermath of him shooting her."
Phelan will make an uninvited appearance at Michelle and fiance Robert Preston’s (Tristan Gemmill) reception at the Bistro, but ‘Corrie’ fans will have to stay up later than usual to watch the calculated character’s latest antics.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "The scenes are so gruesome ITV bosses have decided to play them after 9pm so they don’t fall foul of any rules."
This comes after Connor recently hinted Phelan will kill again, and admitted the victim will be someone "you might not expect".
He said: "Everyone should be watching out. Even those you might not expect.
"The less Phelan has to lose, the more dangerous he is. He now feels that everyone has betrayed him – even Eileen.
"So you have to assume that he’s going to go back and ‘correct’ something. That’s how he sees it with his warped sense of morality."
Bookmaker William Hill rate Gary Windass (Mikey North) as Evens favourite to be the next to be bumped off by Phelan, with his wife Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) a 3/1 shot.
Michelle is still available at a sizeable 10/1 to meet her maker at the hands of Pat, while Robert is a 25/1 outsider to be the killer’s next victim, and those who think Roy Cropper (David Neilson) will come a cropper can get a big 100/1.
