Corrie’s Chris Gascoyne wants Peter and Carla reunion

Chris Gascoyne wants Peter Barlow and Carla Connor to get back together.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor has admitted he would love to see his character reunited with Alison King’s alter ego as they will be seen looking close on New Year’s Eve (31.12.18).
He told Metro.co.uk: "Yeah, I think that they will. It’s more interesting as one they are back together we’re back into that domestic kind of arguments, who buys the tea bags and who does the cooking.
"I think at the moment it’s pitched very well. Also there’s other stories around it’s not just them two but even the next set of stories, they’re still very close and unfinished business.’
Despite the couple’s rollercoaster on-screen romance, Chris suggested that Carla may well be ‘the one’ for Peter.
He added: "I think it looks like that. They’re had an on off relationship for some 12 years now. I think that’s what the audience wanted. I still think he likes Leanne."
The scenes set to air this evening will see Peter and Carla playing a game of snooker will some high stakes.
Chris explained: "He didn’t know she could play snooker. She says if you lose then you have to sell this place, you’re just jumping from one thing to another just to get away from that and you’re going to do the same again.
"She beats him and he realises that she’s right about the snooker hall. They’re there on their own NYE and they get very close. It’s a case of will they or wont they.’
