Connor Calland and Eva O’Hara join Hollyoaks

Connor Calland and Eva O’Hara have joined ‘Hollyoaks’.
The former ‘Doctors’ actor will take on the role of Jordan, the older cousin of Sid Sumner (Billy Price), and he looks set to be heavily involved in the Channel 4 soap’s County Lines storyline next year.
He said: "I’m really excited to come into the Hollyoaks village and work with the loveliest, and most talented, bunch of people; even more so, coming in with such a hard hitting and relevant storyline."
Jordan has lived a life of crime for the past few years and he targets, manipulate and exploits vulnerable teens to sell drugs for him.
But actor Connor hopes the hard-hitting County Lines plot will raise awareness of the issue.
He said: "Hopefully with this opportunity, we can help bring some light to the issue in real life."
Connor will first appear on screen in the hour-long New Year’s Eve flash-forward episode, which will air on E4 on Friday December 27th and zoom forward 12 months into the future in the village to see how the County Lines plot has affected several characters.
Eva has joined the cast as Verity Hutchinson, the daughter of Edward Hutchinson (Joe McGann) and the half-sister of Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard).
She hopes to establish her own law firm when she arrives in the village.
Eva said: "I have been totally bowled over by the wonderful team at ‘Hollyoaks’. I have fallen in love with the warmth and passion of everyone involved, and feel utterly blessed to be involved in such a creative environment.
"She [Verity] has a fascinating balance of ruthlessness and compassion, making her one to watch … I’ve found myself feeling jealous of her fearlessness at times."
Eva will first be seen as Verity in early January when she is involved in the special ‘Hollyoaks Later’ episode, in which Verity will strike up a raunchy relationship with one of the residents.
