Comedian Jerrod Carmichael in talks to join ‘Transformers 5’

Jerrod Carmichael could be set to star in the new Transformers film sequel.
The 28-year-old comedian is reportedly in talks with filmmaker Michael Bay about the possibility of appearing in the fifth installment of the robot movie franchise, though it is unclear what part he would play, "multiple individuals familiar with the project" told The Wrap.
And while Jerrod is in the running for a ‘mystery’ role, there is also talk of Nickelodeon actress Isabela Moner joining the team and Mark Wahlberg reprising his role as Cade Yeager.
Plot details have not been confirmed, but it has been reported it will be the last movie to feature Optimus Prime, who will be involved in a quest for Quintessons, the innovators of his race.
It is also expected to see Cade, assisted by Autobots and Dinobots, struggle to save the world.
The director has previously said ‘Transformers 5’ will be his last involvement in the franchise, though he also said that about ‘Transformers 3’ and ‘Transformers 4’.
He said: "Transformers, I still have a great time. It’s fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see. But this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else."
The movie will start filming this summer in Detroit and is expected to be released on June 23, 2017.
