Coleen Nolan slams Strictly Come Dancing judges for ‘cruel’ remarks

Coleen Nolan thought the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judges were "cruel and nasty" to Ruth Langsford last weekend.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist was given the boot from the ballroom and latin competition in Sunday (12.11.17) night’s show after her Foxtrot failed to impress the panel and the public, but her co-star has jumped to her defence and slammed Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas for their harsh criticism.
Speaking on the chat show on Monday (13.11.17), Coleen said: "I thought they were really, really, really particularly cruel to you this week, some of the comments. I thought they were out of order. I didn’t think a lot of them were constructive criticism, I just thought some of them, especially Bruno’s, came across as nasty."
However, Jane Moore tried to play down the comments and claimed it was all for entertainment.
She said: "It is an entertainment show at the end of the day."
Although she was given the axe just before the nine-week special at Blackpool Tower, Ruth has admitted she had a great time taking part in the competition and is glad she agreed to do it when the BBC first approached her.
The 57-year-old presenter said: "It was just such an experience. I’m so glad I said yes when they asked me. I was like, ‘Can I fit this in with work?’ and I’m so glad that I said yes. It was everything I thought it would be with bells on. It’s exciting, it’s terrifying, I made a great friend in Anton. He was the best, best partner I could have had – he was so patient, kind and funny. We laughed and laughed. I wanted it to be funny. I wasn’t a dancer, I’ve got no experience, I know I’m not going to be brilliant, but I think I did improve and I loved it."
