Coldplay confirm new music

Coldplay have hinted they will release new music on December 4.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted posters appearing around London last week baring a multi-coloured symbol along with the caption "December 4" which were linked to the band as frontman Chris Martin wore clothing featuring a similar symbol during a recent performance.

And now the band have confirmed they are behind the mysterious campaign by posting the same logo on their social networks, which is believed to be the cover art for their seventh studio album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’.

The band have not yet released many details about the collection, but performed new single ‘Amazing Day’ at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City in September, which producer Rik Simpson confirmed would feature on the record.

Announcing the album last December Chris hinted it would mark a form of "completion" for the band prompting rumours they will split following its release, 15 years after their debut album ‘Parachutes’.

He said at the time: "We haven’t told anyone this but we’re making an album called ‘A Head Full of Dreams’. We’re right in the middle of it.

"It’s our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book or something.

"Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something.

"I have to think of it as the final thing we’re going. Otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it."
