Christine McGuinness: 2 of my kids are ‘barely eating’ during coronavirus pandemic

Christine McGuinness has said two of her children are "barely eating" during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 32-year-old mum – whose three kids have all been diagnosed with autism – admitted she missed McDonald’s being open because it was a "safe" option her children to enjoy.
She wrote on Instagram: "The one meal all three of my children would eat @mcdonalds we miss you!
"I never thought I would wish for fast food for my children but as I expected the changes have affected them and two of my children are barely eating, it’s been like this for over 3 weeks now.
"This is not ‘fussy eaters’ this is down to struggling with change, massive change in their little lives. I know we are not alone, I’ve had so many messages about McDs! #AutismAwareness If you know, you know.. (sic)"
Christine – who has three-year-old daughter Felicity and six-year-old twins Leo and Penelope with her husband Paddy McGuinness – explained why her kids find meals from the fast food eatery so comforting.
She added: "McDs is a ‘safe’ food, it always looks the safe, it tastes the same, the texture and smell is always the same.. and it’s beige and dry!
"sending love if you are in the same situation right now! (sic)"
The model previously admitted she and the former ‘Take Me Out’ host were both "struggling" during lockdown as they try to keep their children calm and entertained.
She said: "It’s really, really difficult, honestly. Online, we try to keep it really positive, fun, but at home we are struggling.
"This has been so difficult this week, trying to explain to the children that we’ve got to stay indoors and we can’t go out, when we’ve spent years and years encouraging our children to go to places and go out at the weekend. Now, we tell them to stay in and they are struggling."
