Christine Bleakley: Phillip Schofield is ‘cheeky’

Christine Bleakley looks forward to working with "cheeky" Phillip Schofield on ‘This Morning’.

The 35-year-old TV presenter will cover part of Holly Willoughby’s maternity leave next year – sharing duties with Amanda Holden – and she can’t wait to take on the role.

She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: "I’m really looking forward to being a part of ‘This Morning’ during Holly’s maternity leave.

"Phil is brilliant. One of the best. Very professional, great to work with and a bit naughty and cheeky off-camera, too, which I love more than anything really."

In addition to her new role on ‘This Morning’, the Irish beauty has been hard at working filming a new top secret project.

She teased: "I’ve been filming for the last two weeks and when I got home last night, I thought, ‘God I’ve missed my own bed so badly.’ I’m not allowed to talk about it but we’ve been filming for weeks now."

Christine shot to fame as co-host of ‘The One Show’ and later ‘Daybreak’, where she interviewed some of the biggest celebrities in the world, and the star admits she’s had great experiences meeting her idols.

She said: "I’ve met a few of my heroes and they’ve actually always lived up to expectations. Dolly Parton was one of them. I’ve met her several times now over the years and I think I fell in love with her a bit more every time."
