Chris Ramsey set to host The Search

Chris Ramsey is set to host the live shows for Little Mix’s new TV talent programme.
The 33-year-old comedian is poised to star alongside the chart-topping girl group – which features Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards – on the new BBC show ‘The Search’.
Looking forward to his new role, Chris quipped: "Since the moment I heard their first single, I knew I wanted to be the fifth member of Little Mix … sadly it looks like I’m going to have to settle for just hosting their new show with them!"
The group – who previously starred on ‘The X Factor’ – are also excited to work with Chris.
They said: "We’re so happy Chris has come on board to present ‘The Search’. He’s genuinely one of the funniest people we know, and he’ll bring loads of his South Shields charm to the show. We can’t wait!"
Little Mix also announced Chris’ new role on their official Instagram page, making reference to his links to South Shields, the town where Perrie and Jade are originally from.
Alongside a photograph of themselves with Chris, the girls said: "Beyond excited to announce @iamchrisramsey as the host of @littlemixthesearch… South Shields takeover on @bbcone (sic)"
Meanwhile, Jesy recently admitted the band are keen to discover "something really different" on the new show.
The pop star also explained that she was looking for the "full package".
She said: "We just want to find something really different. I mean, ideally, we’d like to find another … I’d like to find a mixed group, or a boy group.
"But just, for me personally, I want to find someone who can dance, sing, the full shebang, the full package."
