Chris Hughes was ‘drunk’ when he wrapped arms round mystery woman

Chris Hughes has claimed he was "just being a drunk d**k" after video footage of him kissing a mystery woman on a night out surfaced on the internet earlier this week.
The ‘Love Island’ hunk hit the headlines after the clip, which saw him put his arms around an unidentified woman outside the nightclub Sugar Hut, leaked online – sparking rumours he’d split from his girlfriend Olivia Attwood – but he is adamant he "can’t remember" an "awful lot" from that night and was just being a "drunk d**k."
He said in a statement: "I was a mess Saturday night, couldn’t remember an awful lot. I put my arm around a stranger which I should never have done, and I still don’t know, but it’s a lesson learnt not to be a drunk tw**. All of us do things we shouldn’t one time or another and do stupid sh**, but nothing escalated as it would never. Sometimes takes an incident to sharpen up in life. Just being a drunk d**k."
Despite his sincere apology, his girlfriend Olivia – who he met over the summer when they both took part in the dating show – didn’t seem impressed as she simply posted: "boys get away with murder," before deleting it moments later.
However, the 23-year-old hunk has claimed he and Olivia are "good."
He told the MailOnline: "We’re good. We met earlier and we’re all good."
Chris hasn’t had the best of luck since he shot to fame as he became embroiled in a war of words with Katie Price a few months ago after he accused her of flirting with him – allegations she has denied.
The 39-year-old former glamour model said: ""I will not be called a liar. I wish he will just leave it – who cares? Just don’t call me a liar when I’m not. He’s piping on about it
– means you’re guilty."
