Chris Hemsworth was being ‘suffocated’ in Hollywood

Chris Hemsworth felt like he was being "suffocated" when he lived in Hollywood with his young family.
The ‘Thor’ hunk made the decision to move back to his native Australia with his wife Elsa Pataky and their children India, three, and two-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan last year because he couldn’t deal with the pressure of fame.
He explained: "I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating. It’s nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn’t live and breathe that world."
The 32-year-old actor also wanted his children to grow up on a farm rather than around the glitz and glamour of showbiz.
He said: "We were living shoulder to shoulder in the suburbs and thought that’s not how we want our kids to grow up. Moving to a kind of farm setup back here on the coast in Australia has been the best thing."
Meanwhile, the handsome star believes having children helped him step away from the "self-absorbed world" of acting and focus, instead, on the real meaning of life.
Speaking to Modern Luxury magazine, he said: "It’s no longer all about me, which is quite refreshing. "Once the kids arrived, I was like, ‘Wow, this is what life is about.’ "
