Chris Hemsworth lies about height to get movie roles

Chris Hemsworth lies about his height to nab film roles.
The Australian heartthrob, who plays king of the Norse gods Thor in the Marvel universe, has admitted his 6ft 3inch height is a curse and he often has to shave a few inches off on his application form to win the movie roles he really wants.
He confessed: "There are certainly things I’ve wanted to go up for which I’ve been totally wrong for, physically. And I normally lie about my height [6ft 3in] and say I’m shorter. But it can go two ways. The brief for the audition for ‘Thor’ said, ‘Must be over 6ft 1in,’ which I’d never seen before!"
However, there is one physical trait he’s less likely to change ever again, and that’s his beautifully ripped torso.
The actor confessed his 2015 epic adventure movie ‘Heart of the Sea’ – set in the 19th-century and in which he played Owen Chase, who finds himself shipwrecked – likely sank at at the box office because he was suffering from "exhaustion" after being put on a strict 500-a-day calorie diet.
Speaking to the RadioTimes Online, Chris – who is married to Spanish actress Elsa Pataky – said: "I spent so much energy trying to lose weight that I do feel something was missing just out of pure exhaustion. I would have done things a little differently if I’d had more brain power. If I’d been fed."
