Chris Evans gorges on roast dinner after London Marathon

Chris Evans celebrated completing the London Marathon by gorging on a huge traditional British Sunday lunch.
The BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host was taking part in the epic race on Sunday (22.04.18) for a fourth time after taking part in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and he toiled through the scorching sun to finish the 26.2 mile race in a respectable time of 05:12:10.
Chris, 52, ran to raise money and awareness of Children In Need and after getting his medal and getting a much-needed wash he joined his wife Natasha Shishmanian – who is pregnant with twins – for a celebratory meal.
The presenter was ravenous for a roast and polished off half a chicken, nine potatoes and a variety of vegetables all drenched in glorious gravy.
Speaking on air on Monday morning (23.04.18), Chris said: "I ate so much chicken and nine roast potatoes and loads of vegetables, and that’s not like me to eat the veg. It’s because we lost so many nutrients in the race."
Chris was among a host of celebrities to compete in the London Marathon such as comedian Joel Dommett and Rochelle Humes – who both ran for the Teenage Cancer Trust – George Lamb and 2013 ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner Frances Quinn who ran with 13 other former contestants from the cooking show who together raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, World Vision, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Katie Price was unable to get to the finish line as she had to pull out with a knee injury around three hours into the Marathon.
The 39-year-old former glamour model had entered to raise money for the British Lung Foundation on behalf of her mother Amy, who was diagnosed with terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) earlier this year and was running with a giant pair of lungs on her back.
