Cheryl Baker’s Dancing On Ice injury fears

Cheryl Baker was terrified that performing on ‘Dancing On Ice’ could damage her back, which had already been injured in a crash on tour with Bucks Fizz.
The singer – who broke three vertebrae in her spine during the scary incident in 1994 – took a tumble early on in her basic training for the BBC celebrity figure skating competition, and it knocked her confidence.
During ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (05.02.18), she revealed: "I broke 3 vertebrae in my spine in a coach crash in 1994, and I’ve been terrified of hurting my back.
"I did take a nasty fall early on in the training, and I fell on my back. And I thought I’m never letting go ever again because I don’t feel safe."
The judges criticised Cheryl – who was eliminated from the competition on Sunday night (04.02.18) for clinging onto pro partner Dan Whiston.
The 63-year-old star still enjoyed her time on the ice, and she’s excited to be reunited with her dancing partner for the upcoming ‘Dancing On Ice’ tour.
She added: "I had a ball! It was so much fun, and I was so lucky I had Dan."
Cheryl previously revealed she dropped half a stone during her time, and her husband and bandmate Steve Stoud loves it now she is more "active" and shapely.
She said: "My legs look different and I’m more supple, I feel so much more confident now. I feel happier in the clingy costumes.
"My husband hates it when I put weight on, so he prefers it now I’m active and he likes to see me looking fit."
