Chelsee Healey has split from her boyfriend.
The 27-year-old actress has called time on her relationship with Jack Malloy, after over two years together, and just days before starting her new role in ‘Hollyoaks’.
Sources say Chelsee struggled to cope after Jack was jailed last November for 12 months after admitting dangerous driving, using a vehicle without insurance and driving while disqualified.
Despite him being released early in March, his time behind bars had proved too much for them.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "I think Jack being in prison has really taken its toll on the relationship. The pair found it difficult being apart for so long.
"But she’s so excited about starting her new role in ‘Hollyoaks’ and can’t wait to get stuck into it. I think it will really help to take her mind off things."
After a night out with friends over the weekend, the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star tweeted: "Oi a break up does wonders for the effort you put into your make up! Lol girls on top."
Chelsee’s role in Hollyoaks was revealed last week but it’s unclear exactly what type of character she will be playing.
A source said: "Chelsee has landed a role in the soap. It’s her return to acting and it’s very exciting for both parties."
This will be Chelsee’s first television role since she finished her portrayal of Honey Wright in ‘Casualty’ – a part she portrayed on and off for 11 months last year.
