Charlie Puth: I’m a huge Zayn Malik fan

Charlie Puth is a "huge fan" of Zayn Malik.
The 24-year-old singer has revealed he would relish the opportunity to work with the former One Direction star, admitting he loves the sincerity of Zayn’s new album, ‘Mind of Mine’.
He said: "I am a huge fan of Zayn. I would love to (collaborate with him) – I think he’s a fantastic songwriter and he’s just a great guy. I love guys who are making real music. Anybody who’s making real music and putting their heart into it.
"I can see where he’s coming from for a lot of these songs. I’m a huge fan. I just love the sonics of everything he’s doing too."
Meanwhile, Charlie recently won a Billboard Award for his hit track ‘See You Again’, which he co-wrote with Wiz Khalifa.
Charlie was naturally delighted to have been handed the coveted Top Hot 100 Song award, and insisted he was not angry at the rapper for omitting him from his acceptance speech.
He told Capital FM: "It’s a pretty amazing feeling. I wrote and produced that record in a very short amount of time and I remember this time last year I was at the Billboard Awards, and now I’m on a sold out tour in Europe …"
Of Wiz’s oversight, Charlie said he bears no ill-feeling towards the rapper, pointing out he also forgot to mention deceased actor Paul Walker, who is the subject of the song.
He explained: "I think maybe he got nervous or something. I think he forgot to thank Paul (Walker) too. I don’t hold grudges against anybody. I’m sure he meant nothing bad of it."
