Charli XCX embarrassed by teenage songs

Charli XCX is embarrassed about the songs she wrote as a teenager.

The 23-year-old singer hates the fact her teenage missives are still available online because she no longer thinks they’re as good as she believed when she wrote them.

Asked what she’d like to delete from the Internet, she said: "All the songs I wrote when I was 14. They all have titles like ‘I Wanna Be Darth Vader’ and ‘Dinosaur Sex’.

"I thought they were really good at the time, and now they live on in the public sphere."

The ‘Boom Clap’ hitmaker also admitted she always wishes she dressed more conservatively, but forgets her vow almost every time she gets ready to go out until it’s too late.

She said: "I always wish I’d worn a longer skirt, but then every time I go out I end up in a mini, flashing my pants. I don’t learn."

Charli recently splashed out on some unusual adornments for her new home.

She explained to Grazia magazine: "I’ve just bought lots of expensive crystals for my new house.

"I don’t really believe in that stuff, but they look really pretty.

"I’ve also just got a huge neon palm tree for my front room."
