Catherine Tyldesley suffered ‘hideous migraines’ while breastfeeding

Catherine Tyldesley was left suffering from "hideous migraines" when she was breastfeeding.

The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress has taken to Instagram to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, and she opened up about being struck down with severe headaches when she tried to breastfeed her son Alfie, who is now five, during his younger years.

She wrote: "#nationalbreastfeedingweek … I had to stop breastfeeding Alfie after 6 weeks. Due to the #estrogen dip It gave me the most hideous migraines with aura… but I will forever cherish those weeks of breast feeding. (sic)"

Catherine – who played Eva Price on the cobbles – encouraged other women that they are "doing a brilliant job" however they are feeding their littles ones.

She added: "Ladies – HOWEVER you’re feeding your baby … it’s what is best for YOU, and you’re doing a BRILLIANt job (sic)"

Former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Ali Bastian – who gave birth to daughter Isla in mid-March – is also celebrating World Breastfeeding Week, and admitted earlier this week that feeding her baby has "not been an easy ride".

She wrote: "The #breastfeeding saga continues. This week she only wants to feed at night (every two hrs) and just screams at my boobs in the day time – I must say, I’ve had better reactions in my life. However you feed your baby, hats off to you! Keep on keeping on! Breastfeeding has not been an easy ride for me, I have become very attached to it though and can definitely see myself carrying on with it for the foreseeable… as long as her reaction to the sight of my breasts improves! Happy Sunday. Happy Boobing. Happy #worldbreastfeedingweek (sic)"
