Catherine Tyldesley might ‘burn Eva’s bras’ after Corrie exit

Catherine Tyldesley is planning to burn some of Eva Price’s bras when she leaves ‘Coronation Street’.
The 34-year-old actress is to depart the cobbles in the coming episodes after seven years of playing the barmaid, and she is hoping to take some beer mats from the Rovers Return and other mementos to remember her time on the show.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, she quipped: "I was thinking about burning her bras for a start. I’m sure I’ll steal something, I might take some beer mats or something.
"I’ll probably take some of her jewellery. I might keep the ring, because that’s the ring that Aidan [Connor (Shayne Ward)] gave her and she wears it all the time, so I’ll probably take this. And I don’t think I will take any of her clothes!"
Catherine has long been involved in the ‘Corrie’ props department, where her best friend has worked for many years.
Before she started working on the ITV soap she would help out her pal by stocking up on food for the cast’s green room.
Asked if she’d be keeping in touch with the whole team, she said: "100 per cent. My best friend works in the props department. Before I started on ‘Corrie’, I used to do the green room big shop with him, just an unemployed actress floating about, so I was helping to stock the fridge in the green room like, ‘There’s Rita!’
"So I’ll probably go back to doing the green room big shop. I’ll do the big shop every week, it’ll be fine. ‘Just got your bread, babes!’ I did it for ages because Pete works in props.
"Whenever I was out of work, I just hung around with Pete, went buying props and did the big shop, so everyone kind of knew me and knew my face, because I’d been supplying them with food for a bit!"
It’s been an emotional time for Catherine, who opened up ahead of filming her final scenes with Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), Georgia Taylor (Toyah Battersby), Sam Robertson (Adam Barlow) and Richard Hawley (Johnny Connor).
She added: "There’s zero point in me wearing mascara at my leaving do. Or fake tan, because I’ll just be a streaky mess.
"I’m gonna cry a lot, I feel like I’m filling up now. They’re very, very intense scenes. Today is my last day on the street, that was it then. I was expecting a band or something.
"They’re really highly emotional scenes anyway, so I think once the cameras stop rolling I will carry on crying.
"But I’ve got my sisters with me and Sam Robertson and Richard, so there’s a good few people there that I’m close to, so that’ll be nice."
