Casey Batchelor wants to be the "new Zoe Slater" in ‘EastEnders’.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has revealed she’s currently pursuing more acting roles and would love to take on the role of Kat Slater’s estranged daughter, who was played by the actress Michelle Ryan from the year 2000 to 2005.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’m getting myself an acting agent now and I’m going to, fingers crossed, do some more TV stuff … I mean, I think I’d fit in quite well on ‘EastEnders’. I’ve got the accent, I’ve got the attitude.
"I think I’d be a good Slater. They are going a little bit doolally at the minute, the Slaters. Let’s do a campaign and put this to ‘EastEnders’ – Casey Batchelor as the new Zoe Salter.
"I’m going to put it forward … Because she [Zoe] was meant to be coming back wasn’t she? I’m going to get my agent on this."
The 30-year-old beauty – who appears alongside the BBC One soap’s Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani Dyer in the film ‘Bonded By Blood 2’ – also thinks she’d make a great action star.
She added: "Do you know who I’d like to be? The new Angelina Jolie, the new Lara Croft. I’m quite flexible so I could do all the stunts and stuff. I could be like Lara Croft’s long-lost niece and take over because she’s English as well isn’t she, Lara Croft? I’d just have to have a few etiquette lessons to sound a bit more posh."
