Caroline Quentin on ‘spooky’ Men Behaving Badly reunion

Caroline Quentin says a ‘Men Behaving Badly’ reunion would be "spooky" if the show returned in its old format.
The 58-year-old actress is best known for playing Dorothy on the sitcom – which followed the lives of flat mates Gary (Martin Clunes) and Tony (Neil Morrissey) – but Caroline believes it would be odd for the now-older characters to live together in a "grotty flat".
When asked on ‘This Morning’ about previously saying she would be up for a ‘Men Behaving Badly’ reunion, she said: "It was probably about 10 years ago I said, ‘If it were to happen…’
"But I have to admit, now I think there’s something rather spooky about four people nearly in their 60s sharing a grotty flat together.
"I don’t know where the comedy would come from."
While presenter Phillip Schofield pointed out that ITV’s ‘Cold Feet’ – which returned to screens after a 13-year absence – has been successful, Caroline argued the drama is "very different" to the BBC’s beloved slapstick comedy series, which also starred Leslie Ash as Deborah, who lives in the flat above the pair.
But the ‘Jonathan Creek’ actress admitted she would love to "hang out" with the cast members at any point, and loves starring alongside Martin in ‘Doc Martin’.
She said: "Listen I’d happily hang out with that lot any time anywhere.
"I’m doing ‘Doc Martin’ again this year which is great and me and Martin Clunes will be hanging out together and mucking about."
