Carl Fogarty and Jimmy Bullard rescued from storm

Carl Fogarty and Jimmy Bullard had to be rescued from a storm in the ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ jungle.

The motorbike champion and former Premier League footballer were taken to a remote part of the Australian jungle to take part in a bush tucker trial but found themselves cut off from the rest of the camp when a storm struck.

Glamour model Nadia Forde and rapper Tinchy Stryder had been tasked with completing challenges in order to rescue Jimmy and Carl, 49, from the "Shed of Dread" but had to turn back when helicopter pilots deemed it too dangerous to fly.

A source revealed: "We didn’t want to cause alarm, but there were real fears for them stuck out there alone. It could have gone horribly wrong."

The pair were eventually rescued by specially trained wardens and returned to camp but Jimmy – who has struggled to cope with jungle creatures since arriving – is said to have considered quitting the ITV reality series after the traumatic incident.

The source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Jimmy was talking about leaving the camp. He said he felt unsafe."

And while the 36-year-old star – who is favourite to win the show – ultimately agreed to stay, bosses are said to be convinced the current series is cursed.

The insider added: "First Gemma Collins quits, then Craig Charles has to leave and now there’s this latest drama.

"What next? We’ve got 11 days left and now we’re worried if we’ll make it."
