Calvin Harris wrote ‘100 per cent’ of cheat track

Calvin Harris wrote "100 per cent" of his new song, which is supposedly about Taylor Swift’s new relationship with Tom Hiddleston.
The Scottish DJ – who was left stunned when the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker began dating the 35-year-old actor shortly after they split in June – has teamed up with John Newman on new track ‘Ole’ and the singer insists he had nothing to do with the lyrical content of the single.
John said: "In all honesty, Calvin has done 100 per cent of the writing on this. I went into the studio, he said, ‘Sing this’, and I sang the song.
"He told me how to sing it. It’s a weird one because, I’ve got no comment on the thing [Swift and Hiddleston’s relationship]. I honestly can’t — it wouldn’t be fair. I’ve just related to the tune in my own way."
Lyrics to the song include, "My heart speaks/ I ain’t seen you or been with you for weeks/ But I see online that you’ve begun to be/ A good girl and take trips with your boyfriend/ Being attentive, continue to pretend", and in an apparent reference to Tom’s ‘Avengers’ character Loki, "Low key you won’t tell none of your friends about me."
However, John refused to confirm the subject matter is Taylor and Tom.
When pressed by the Evening Standard newspaper, he simply said: "Life’s life. People make good decisions and bad decisions, and they’ll do what they want, and sometimes it’s on camera."
Meanwhile, it has been claimed Calvin didn’t write the song about his former lover as he’d actually penned it "months" before they ended their 15-month romance.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "People are just making assumptions to get attention for a song. There’s no way it could be about Tom.
"It has nothing to do with Tom and Taylor."
