Calum Best vows to shed his playboy image

Calum Best wants to shed his playboy image.
The 36-year-old star – who is the son of soccer legend George Best – is known for his turbulent love life, but Calum has revealed he wishes to overhaul his public image and find his ideal girl to settle down with.
He shared: "I want to find someone special and definitely create a family – it just depends when, who and how."
But Calum – who has previously dated the likes of Georgia Salpa, Sarah Harding and Jodie Marsh – admitted he’s found it hard to establish a long-term romance, acknowledging his celebrity status has only served to muddle his thinking.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "The tricky thing for me is I’ve been dating in the public eye since I was 19-years-old and people are like ‘well why haven’t you found her yet?’
"It’s rare I find someone that I want to commit and spend some time with.
"Not in an arrogant way – it’s not because I can’t find any dates, not because I’m struggling to go on dates, it’s because I’m finding someone to commit to."
Calum also said he would love to be like his "iconic" father, but insisted he would never go down the route of alcoholism like his dad as he’s so health-conscious.
George died aged 59 in 2005 as a result of his excessive drinking, and Calum has vowed he won’t suffer the same fate.
He explained: "In many ways I’d love to be my dad – the guy was an iconic figure.
"I think where I messed up a bit in my youth was I chose to do something similar that I knew could do and that was party.
"I’m never going to be an alcoholic. I enjoy a drink, but I know, I see it, I monitor it but I know I’m all good. I drink more protein shakes than I do alcohol drinks.
"I just launched a book about healthy living. So I’m on a different page in that respect. I think because I partied so much in my youth it takes so f***ing long to clear up that stuff.
"From 29 to 36 I’ve tried to get away from that. I still enjoy myself, I still indulge. But at one point I was out every night."
