Call the Midwife releasing book ‘of inspiration’

The ‘Call the Midwife’ team are set to release a book.

The BBC series – which was created by Heidi Thomas – will celebrate its 10th anniversary with ‘The Wisdom of Call the Midwife: Words of Inspiration from the Sisters and Midwives of Nonnatus House’, which will be full of the show’s motivational narrations and speeches.

Announcing the news of Instagram with a snap of the book’s title, the caption read: "Today we are THRILLED to announce that ‘Call the Midwife’ is publishing a brand new series companion book!!

"’The Wisdom of Call the Midwife’ is a collection of the best, most heart-warming, inspiring narrations and life-affirming quotes, taken from our original ‘Call the Midwife’ scripts."

The book comes after many fans have asked to have the show’s moving quotes in print-form, but creator Heidi Thomas has added a little extra by penning the forward.

The caption continued: "Over the years, so many you have told us how moved you’ve been by the beautifully written narrations and speeches that take place in our episodes, and how you would love to see some of these wise words in print…Well, now you can!

"Our ‘Call the Midwife’ Series Creator and Writer Heidi Thomas has written the foreword to this wonderful new collection, and is delighted to repay the love our fans have shown to these words over the past decade."

Heidi then added her own words to the caption to explain why they chose to create the book as she hopes it will help fans through "hard times".

She explained: "Our lovely, loyal viewers have been asking for a book of quotes from the series for a long time, and with our tenth anniversary approaching, I know they will be thrilled with this unique keepsake.

"’The Wisdom of Call the Midwife’ is a selection of timeless Nonnatus House moments, containing lessons on love, friendship, motherhood, faith, family, home and much more – from the glamorous but vulnerable Trixie, forthright Nurse Crane, delightfully witty Sisters Evangelina and Monica Joan, and of course the wise and iconic narrations of Jennifer. It is our special gift to you, our wonderful viewers, and one that we hope you’ll treasure – a book to see you through both hard and better times, and something that will inspire and entertain you in equal measure."
