Busy Phillips slams Brett Ratner

Busy Phillips has branded Brett Ratner a "garbage human".
The ‘Cougar Town’ actress hit out at the 48-year-old director after he was accused of sexual misconduct by actresses including Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, not only slamming his alleged behaviour but also his "s**ty movies".
In a series of Tweets before it was revealed Ratner has "stepped away" from Warner Bros. in the wake of the allegations, Busy wrote: "Olivia Munn has been saying this for years and he has been disgusting about the allegations and to her for years. He is a garbage human.
"Brett Ratner has a 450 MILLION dollar deal at WB? A man who’s reputation is that of a letcherous [sic] creep AT BEST. Plus, he makes s***ty movies.
"Before you say, ‘BUT BUSY, you’ve BEEN in s***ty movies!’ MAYBE I HAVE. But I’m not jacking off on girls and making millions in the process.(sic)"
And the 38-year-old actress slammed Ratner’s attorney for describing actress Katharine Towne’s account of her encounter with the ‘Horrible Bosses’ filmmaker – in which she claimed he cornered her in a bathroom and repeatedly called her – as "flirting at a party" and "complimenting… her appearance".
She wrote: "Also. What @KatharineTowne says in the article is important. What’s ‘absurd’ is his mouthpiece calling harassment ‘giving a compliment.’ It shows a pattern of disregard for women because what he wants is more important. (sic)"
Meanwhile, ‘Wonder Woman’ filmmaker Patty Jenkins is "extremely distressed" about the "terrible" allegations because she presented the director-and-producer with the tree of life award at a dinner for the Jewish National Fund just days before the Los Angeles Times published their report.
She wrote in a statement shared on Twitter: "I’m extremely distressed to read these terrible allegations against Brett Ratner.
"When I spoke of Brett, I spoke of my own experiences with him, which were not these at all. I have never witnessed nor been aware of anything that is now being described
"To be very clear, I am definitely not okay with this kind of behaviour.
"Sexual harassment and assault are NEVER okay and I stand with and defend all of the men and women who are revealing these horrific encounters all over this industry and this world. I hope their disclosures bring about real change for all of us, and I am deeply grateful to them for their bravery."
Ratner has denied the allegations against him and is reportedly planning to file a defamation lawsuit against one of his accusers, who claims she was raped at a party 12 years ago.
