Busted head off to LA to write album

Busted are heading to Los Angeles to write their comeback hit.

The ‘Year 3000’ hitmakers – consisting of Matt Willis, James Bourne and Charlie Simpson – announced they’re going on next Spring but before then, they’ll be in the states penning tracks for the 2016 album and at least one "new song" that will be released soon and will kick off the tour with a bang.

Charlie – who rejoined the group 10 years after quitting – exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The new music is going to be really good I think. We’re going to LA in a couple of weeks to start recording and so we should have a new song out before the tour, and I’m excited about that."

Matt thinks their time apart has broadened their individual music tastes but he’s looking forward to returning to their familiar "fun" style of music.

Speaking from the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards at London’s One Mayfair,on Wednesday (02.12.15), he added: "The good thing about time, I think when you’re younger your music tastes kind of define you, in a way, for a lot of us, and what you’re into defines you. You have time you just listen to everything and take everything in and that’s where we are right now. We’re just making it cool, fun pop music."

And the tour will be just as "high-energy".

Charlie said: "We’re enjoying life. It’s a good place to be. We want it (tour) to be a fun show, a high energy show. It’s going to be a fun day that, when we go in and start talking about the creatives of the show because you can literally do anything."
