Bruno Mars promises new music

Bruno Mars promised new music as he collected the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday evening (05.03.17).
The ‘Treasure’ hitmaker says he "genuinely feels like he is just getting started" in the industry and urged his fans to "buckle up" for the exciting ride ahead.
Accepting the Innovator Award at the ceremony, he said: "We’ve come a long way. We used to play bars, 200-seater rooms, and now you’ve seen these guys in the videos, you’ve seen ’em at the Super Bowl. This is my family right here. These are the guys that make me wanna be better and be great. Fellas, I love y’all and I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you guys.
"I want to thank the fans in the building at the fans at home. I love you guys. I do this all for you guys. You make me wanna be a better songwriter, a better performer and a better entertainer. Innovator is a very heavy word, and I’m so honoured [for this award]. It’s a little ironic for me, because I genuinely feel like I’m just getting started, so buckle up. I don’t know where we’re going yet, but we’re going, so keep up."
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old singer previously insisted he is picky about who he collaborates with.
He said: "I just don’t want to feel gross. It’s as simple as that. I don’t want to feel gross, I don’t want to regret any decisions. Even if I turn down a sweet cheque because I don’t want to be on that billboard, hawking some s**t to the world – I just don’t need to do that. Because you get one shot at this.
"I’m not a model. I’m not an ice skater. I’m not a chef. I’m here to do music. And I want to be able to look back and say, ‘Yeah, I did it the way I wanted to do it.’ Whether it triumphs or fails, I can live with that."
