Brooklyn Beckham’s university ‘fangirls’

Brooklyn Beckham says he has had to tell "fangirls" at his new university to "chill".
The 18-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham is studying photography at Parsons School of Art and Design in New York but claims that some of his classmates are starstruck by him.
He told The Cut: "I like people from school, but there are a few fangirls in the school … Sometimes, I have to be like, ‘I’m going to be with you for like, four years, so chill.’
"I mean, it’s gotten better. They understand and they respect it, but it’s just at the beginning, it’s such a shock to them, so it’s fine."
Brooklyn – who has a tattoo on his chest that says "mama’s boy", admitted his parents were unhappy when he decided to move from London to New York for university but says they have now accepted his decision.
He explained: "They know it’s a big opportunity for me, so they’re kind of all right with it."
And the youngster revealed it was his mother who encouraged him to pursue photography, when he was just 14.
He said: "My mom was like, ‘Try it, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to do it’. And then I did it for a few months, and I just really enjoyed it. And then my dad bought me my first camera."
Brooklyn – who published his own book of photography ‘What I See’ earlier this year – says photography is a deeply personal thing.
He explained: "It’s just on the person, really. It’s not about cameras or anything. It’s just, if you have a good eye, you do, if you don’t … you learn."
