Brooke Vincent says Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s wedding was "lovely".
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress watched her former co-star and the ‘Take Me Out – The Gossip’ presenter tie the knot last month and said she enjoyed the day despite "a lot of lies" being told about the occasion.
She said: "It was good. I’ve heard a lot of lies about it though. Apparently there were cheese butties – I didn’t have a cheese butty.
"It was lovely. They had close friends and family and everyone just got on and had a laugh, and then we had the night time come, and other guests come."
The 23-year-old star also spoke about Michelle’s hen-do in Dubai, where the women enjoyed chilling out in the sunny weather.
Speaking about the trip, she recalled: "We just had a really good time. It was nice to see all of her friends from Essex as well, and then when we were at the wedding it was nice that everyone was seeing each other again. But girls, you just want to go for a few days away [with] sun [and] drinks."
And Brooke – who plays Sophie Webster in ITV the soap – said the holiday and wedding were welcome distractions from her current traumatic storyline, which saw her on-screen girlfriend Maddie Heath (Amy Kelly) die after suffering head injuries in the dramatic fire last week.
Talking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: "It’s mad because obviously we film in advance, and this happened five or six weeks ago, so now I feel like I’m really relaxed but at the time it was so crazy. We had the fire, we had Maddie dying, and obviously with the way that we film all out of sync, it was kind of going back, and then you’re crying, then it was happy. It was everywhere.
"On the day that Maddie died I had eight or nine scenes where I had to cry all day, and it’s a bit like, sometimes it’s hard and you’re like, I’m really crying! But there’s no tears in your eyes."
