Brody Jenner to join The Hills reboot

Brody Jenner is set to join ‘The Hills’ reboot.
MTV announced this week that the reality show – which starred Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari, and ran for six seasons from 2006 to 2010 – will return as ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ in 2019.
Brody, 35, and his wife Kaitlynn Carter are currently in talks about signing up for the revival.
A source told The Hollywood Reporter: "Everybody wants Brody to come back. He was such a big part of the show. It truly wouldn’t be the same without him."
Stephanie Pratt, 32, also took to Instagram to announce that she will be involved, saying: "I am so excited to start filming #TheHills #NewBeginnings #MTV with my friends & family! it’s going to be EPIC @mtvthehills."
And Whitney Port, 33, will take part.
She shared an old picture of herself on Instagram and wrote: "Throw back to my first VMAs look. Good thing I get to go back and make up for my insane looks on #thehills on the NEW HILLS REBOOT!!! Maybe they’ll let me out of the fashion closet this time. #mtv."
A teaser for the show has already dropped, and sees footage of Los Angeles shown while Stephanie says: "It’s like we’re all growing up. It’s weird."
The updated show will reunite original cast members alongside their children, friends, and other familiar faces, and follow their personal and professional lives in Los Angeles.
‘The Hills’, was a spin-off of ‘Laguna Beach’ and followed Lauren Conrad as she tried to make a name for herself in the fashion world. Lauren left in season five, and Kristin took over as the lead star, however neither of them are returning for the reboot.
Speaking about Lauren, 32, a source said: "She’s in a different place in her life. But she wants everyone to enjoy themselves. She wishes everyone the best."
Kristin, 31, is unlikely to be a part of the reunion because of her and husband Jay Cutler’s commitment to her E! show ‘Very Cavallari’.
A source told People magazine: "She can’t do it because she has a contract with E!
"But she’s still close with Heidi [Montag] and Spencer [Pratt] and is excited for them."
Kristin has previously admitted she wouldn’t trade her time on ‘The Hills’ "for the world".
She said: "It got me to where I am today."
But she admitted she can’t bear to watch old episodes of the show.
She added: "If I did watch them I would cringe. I think MTV played them a couple summers ago and my husband Jay put them on as a joke to mess with me. It was definitely cringeworthy – I know what I did! I know what happened."
