Brody Jenner insists Kim Kardashian was "fine" about him not attending her wedding.
The former ‘Hills’ star missed the May nuptials in Florence, Italy, between his stepsister and rapper Kanye West, and he denied he had refused to attend because his girlfriend of seven months, Kaitlynn Carter, was not invited, insisting he was busy working.
Speaking on ‘The Brody Jenner & Dr Mike Dow’ podcast, he said: "Realistically, I had work commitments and it was a long way away.
"We talked about it! It was very simple. After I got the invite, I said, ‘Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend but I wish you the best. I love you’.
"And she was fine with it. So if she’s fine with it, why is everybody else not OK with it?"
Brody recently admitted on his podcast that he used to date his brother Brandon’s wife Leah.
Asked about her relationship with her husband, Leah said: "We’ve known each other since we were 11 years old; I was 11 years old, he was 13.
"We started playing [music] in high school together. I had a boyfriend, he had a girlfriend. And then when I was single one day, he was single one day and he came up to me and he’s like, ‘I’ve been in love with you since you were 11 years old.’ "
Brody then said: "The boyfriend at the time was me. That’s what made it really awkward."
After initially accusing him of lying, Leah eventually admitted it was a very innocent relationship and insisted they never even kissed.
