Britney Spears gets caught in tree on stage in Vegas

Britney Spears avoided injury after getting stuck in a tree stage prop while performing in Las Vegas on Saturday night (02.1.16).

The 34-year-old pop superstar was midway through singing her hit ‘Toxic’ at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and about to carry out a stage stunt when her safety harness stopped working.

According to gossip website TMZ, Britney was supposed to fly across the crowd, but the malfunction meant she didn’t take off and a stage director had to rescue the singer before she carried on with her performance.

The blonde beauty was performing a show as part of her Las Vegas concert residency ‘Britney: Piece of Me’, and still had the prop attached to her as she walked down stairs to continue singing.

The ‘Alien’ hitmaker avoided social media after the incident, however, she has vowed to keep "shaking things up" when she takes to the stage for the final show of the series, in its current form, on Monday night (04.1.16).

Alongside a video of her on stage, she wrote on Twitter: "Last show of #PieceOfMe as you know it!! Looking forward to shaking things up! (sic)"

It’s not the first mishap of 2016 for Britney, she recently bruised her forehead after hitting it on a metal pole.

She previously shared on Twitter: "Good morning 2016! Don’t mind the little bruise on my forehead … Ran into a pole (sic)"
