Britain’s Got Talent finale moves for Ariana Grande’s charity gig

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’s live finale has been moved to Saturday (03.06.17) night.
The talent show was supposed to air on Sunday (04.06.17) night but bosses at ITV have made some last-minute changes to the television schedule as a result of Ariana Grande’s charity concert, which aims to raise cash for the victims of the horrific terror attack in Manchester last week, at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground this weekend.
A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: "Ariana Grande’s ‘One Love Manchester’ benefit concert is bringing artists and the public together, and will raise funds for the Red Cross’s Manchester Emergency Fund.
"ITV and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ have no desire to distract from this important cause, so we have taken the decision to move the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Final from Sunday night."
The ‘One Love Manchester’ gig, which starts at 7:15pm and concludes at 10:15pm, will be shown on the BBC – although the broadcast date and time are yet to be confirmed – while fans can also listen on BBC Radio and Capital Radio Networks.
The 23-year-old singer will be joined at her concert by international artists Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Coldplay, while Miley Cyrus, Take That, Usher, Pharrell Williams, Black Eyed Peas and One Direction star Niall Horan will also perform at the event.
The whole world was thrown into mourning on May 22 after a suicide bomber let off an explosive in the foyer of the Manchester Arena shortly after Ariana finished her gig.
The incident claimed the lives of 22 innocent people – many of whom were children, with the youngest victim being just eight years old, and injuring more than 100 more.
Those who paid to go to the ‘Break Free’ hitmaker’s concert last week at the city’s Arena have been told they can register to attend her charity gig this weekend for free.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ will hit screens at 8pm on June 4.
