Brianne Delcourt had a gut feeling getting into a relationship with Matt Lapinskas would ultimately be a mistake.
The ‘Dancing On Ice’ star – who was left devastated recently when dancer Camilla Rowland was photographed leaving the couple’s house – tried to convince the former ‘EastEnders’ actor they should just be friends when they first got together 18 months ago, but she eventually fell for him.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "When we first got together it wasn’t something I really wanted. I didn’t think I would fall in love with him because I kind of knew I was coming home and he would be in the UK.
"I said to him after the tour in April 2013, ‘I think it’s best if we go back to being best buddies.’ He pursued and pursued and I fell for him when I should have gone with my gut."
Brianne – who first met Matt when the pair came second on the 2013 series of ‘Dancing On Ice’ – also slammed Matt for bringing a woman back to their house and claims he called the professional skater his "soulmate" just two months.
She added: "Go do whatever you want, but you don’t bring her back to our home that we moved into together and to the bed we slept in while all my stuff is still in the house.
"One minute you’re saying you love someone and they’re your soulmate and then two months later you jump into bed with another woman. That’s not love. He doesn’t even know what the word means."
