Brandon Flowers doesn’t listen to own music

Brandon Flowers doesn’t like listening to The Killers first album ‘Hot Fuss’.
The 34-year-old musician doesn’t enjoy listening to his own songs has admitted that he’d wishes he could go back and change elements of their debut record, despite accepting some "magic" was "captured" on the album.
Asked when the last time he listened to the 2004 LP was, he said: "I hear the songs on the radio and I quickly turn over the stations, it’s an instinct.
"It’s not uncommon for people to hear things about their voice they don’t like, or the recordings.
"Everybody wishes they could go back and re-do things. But I acknowledge there was some magic captured."
And when quizzed whether he thinks it was worthy of being named one of the best debuts of the last 30 years, he agreed but feels more worthy candidates would be Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Appetite for Destruction’ and The Strokes’ ‘Is This It’.
In answer to the question, he told Q magazine: "I will say it’s one of them. If you ask me, The Strokes’ debut is better. Guns N’ Roses’s debut is better.
"But I do think we’re up there and I’m proud of it."
Meanwhile, Brandon added that ‘Is This It’ had a real impact on his band as he wanted to do one better than them.
He added: "Going back to The Strokes’ debut – that was a real driving force for us.
"I really wanted to beat it."
