Bradley Walsh wants West End role

Bradley Walsh wants to play a lead role in the West End.
The 58-year-old actor, comedian, singer, television presenter and former professional footballer believes he has had a very fulfilling career, including starring roles in ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Doctor Who’, but he is yet to tread the boards in London and he intends to fulfil that dream.
He told Radio Times magazine: "The only thing I haven’t done is taken a lead role in the West End. You’ve got to take each day as it comes and you’ve just got to thank the Lord you’re still alive and kicking and doing what you love. You shouldn’t have any regrets about whether you got the job or you didn’t get the job. If you didn’t get it, it wasn’t meant to be."
Brad is currently playing companion Graham O’Brien, a retired bus driver who is quietly suffering and coming to terms with the loss of his wife, in ‘Doctor Who’ opposite the Time Lord Jodie Whittaker and he is delighted that he has received critical acclaim for his performances
He said: "Grief is hard to handle, anyone that’s ever felt grief knows it’s not over in the blink of an eye … It’s not a very nice subject to portray but I’ve actually quite enjoyed that as an actor."
Although it is widely believed he will be back for a second series as Graham, Bradley has no intention of giving up his job as the host of game show ‘The Chase’.
He said: "Doctor Who’s brilliant and we have such a laugh on all my entertainment shows. I’m Brad on ‘The Chase,’ that’s genuinely what I’m like, and I’m not Brad on ‘Doctor Who’. I like both."
