Bradley Walsh got ill during father-son road trip

Bradley Walsh and his son both got ill during filming for their new show ‘Breaking Dad’.
The 58-year-old star and his 20-year-old son Barney have joined forces for an adrenaline-fuelled new programme as they take on challenges during a road trip across America, but the experience proved to be very intense for the pair.
Speaking ‘This Morning’, Bradley said: "I don’t wanna spoil it because it’s in a later episode but there was one point that I thought I’d taken it too far.
"I had to do the activity first and I was like, ‘Wow, this is tough.’ It actually made us ill for a couple of days didn’t it? It actually made us ill."
Some of the tasks facing the duo include driving tasks, cowboy training and alligator feeding.
Arriving in the US to start the journey was also a difficult experience for the ‘Doctor Who’ actor, as he admitted he had no idea he would have to drive their RV for 2,000 miles across the country.
He explained: "We turned up in this RV park in Hollywood, and the whole placed was amazing.
"Before we went, they said ‘Brad, can we have your driving license?’
"I went, ‘Sure, no problem, have my driving license’, thinking we’re gonna be getting a little hire car as well, and someone’s gonna be driving the RV for the 2,000 miles. So we get there and he breaks the news, ‘Right, you’re up.’ "
Bradley – who is also known for hosting quiz show ‘The Chase’ – was scared about driving the huge vehicle, which was nothing like anything he’d taken control of before.
He added: "It’s 36ft long. I’ve never driven anything like that before. I’ve never even driven vans. Yeah, of course [I was scared]. You think I’m joking, but this is actually as it happened!"
‘Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad’ – which runs for four episodes – starts tonight (02.01.19) at 8pm on ITV.
