Bradley Johnson praises ‘best friend’ Lisa Riley as he reveals songwriting isolation plan

Bradley Johnson is planning to start writing songs during isolation.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who joined the ITV show as Vinny last year – was a runner-up on Take That’s 2017 singing competition ‘Let It Shine’, and he wants to use his spare time amid the coronavirus pandemic to focus on his music.
He told Inside Soap magazine: "I’m still singing, and I’d love to start writing.
"Now that ‘Emmerdale’ has paused filming [due to the coronavirus], it’s the perfect time to try to get some songs written.
"I’ll attempt to get some more covers up on YouTube."
Bradley has fond memories of ‘Let It Shine’, and describes the experience as "the most rewarding thing" he’s ever done.
He joined the soap world last year, and says Lisa (Mandy Dingle) has really helped him settle in.
The star added: "From the moment I joined ‘Emmerdale’, she made me feel so welcome.
"She’s the most kind-hearted person that I’ve ever met, and she’s a dream to work with. I’ve honestly made a best friend for life."
Bradley also suggested his "geeky character" could look to find some romance in the Dales, and he suggested Claire King’s alter-ego Kim Tate could be a possible partner.
He said: "I think Vinny’s at that age where he thinks he’s a bit of a ladies’ man, which he probably isn’t!
"He’s a bit of a geeky character, and we’ve seen a bit of him fancying Belle. However, since Graham’s gone, Kim Tate is without a love interest, so Vinny could be her toy boy.
"I don’t think he would be particularly fussy about who he’s with, though!"
