Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tried to make their marriage work

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tried to make their marriage work.
The ‘Maleficent’ actress filed for divorce from the 52-year-old actor on Monday (19.09.16), citing irreconcilable differences, but they reportedly tried their best to get through the difficult times.
A source said: "Every married couple has its own dynamics. Fame adds an additional complication but they are going through what many families face. It’s a difficult time …
"It has been a very difficult time. It’s been a very hard decision to make, but ultimately they both did the best they could to make the relationship work. Both sides are hurting very deeply right now."
Whilst the pair – who have Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, together – have decided to go their separate ways, they have always had a "deep love" for each other.
An insider added: "They were always very deeply in love, very passionate, very intense and very romantic. They were never shy about showing their emotions and love for one another in front of people, they knew that their bond was something special.
"They were a good partnership created from two very different personalities but they were bound together by this deep love. They had a joint mutual outlook on life and the strength of their family unit was at the centre of it."
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that it was Brad and Angelina’s commitment to work which forced them apart.
The insider told E! News: "Angelina is very dedicated to her work with the United Nations and working on other charitable endeavors while Brad is consumed with his film projects. Both of their interests have taken them across the world but not together but in different directions."
