Boy George: Harry Styles is ‘sexually ambiguous’

Boy George thinks Harry Styles is "sexually ambiguous".

The 53-year-old Culture Club frontman – who is famed for his make-up and openness about his sexuality – has compared the 21-year-old One Direction member to David Bowie, Marc Bolan and Mick Jagger, in terms of their "ambiguous" sexuality.

George said: "I love the Seventies, with Bowie and Mick Jagger and Marc Bolan, who were all gloriously ambiguous about their sexuality. You heard stuff but you never knew if it was true.

"What’s wonderfully ironic now is that Harry Styles, bless him, clearly wants to be Jagger. Maybe he is sexually ambiguous. He may be."

While the ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker – who won the Outstanding Contribution to British Music prize at yesterday’s Ivor Novello Awards (21.05.15) – has seen huge success in the UK, he has said he wants to move to the United States, as all of his "heroes", including Bowie and Rod Stewart, have made the move and gone on to have worldwide success.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, George said: "What I want to do I just don’t feel I can do here. I need to move to America. I haven’t been played on the radio here for over 20 years. All of my heroes — Bowie, Rod Stewart — left.

"To be honest, my departure has been long overdue. I tend to stick in situations that aren’t necessarily good for me. But this time I’m going to sell my house and purchase somewhere there."
